Emerging laws within the Middle East are requiring companies to develop environmental, health & safety management systems in line with international best practice standards. In particular, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has introduced mandatory EHS Laws which require the development of EHS Management Systems (EHSMS) by all regulated entities. Part of the requirement to develop an EHSMS includes the need to have the EHSMS audited by internationally certified auditors.
